Weekend Weddings ("we", "us") is a New York City wedding officiant and legal-witness service operating at weekendweddings.nyc. Information we collect
Enquiry form
The enquiry form on our site opens your own email app pre-filled with the details you enter - your names, email address, preferred date, the service and location you choose, and your message. You then send it to us as an email. This information is not stored on this website; we receive it as an email and keep it only to reply and help arrange your booking.
Bookings (Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling)
Our booking page is powered by Google Calendar Appointment Scheduling. When you book, Google collects the name, email address, and any details you enter to create the appointment and add it to our calendar. Google processes this information under the Google Privacy Policy.
Deposits (Stripe)
If you pay a deposit, the payment is handled by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details - Stripe processes your payment information under the Stripe Privacy Policy. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, along with your name and email.
Analytics & cookies
With your consent where required, we use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and PostHog to understand how the site is used - for example, pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser type, and the site you arrived from. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers. We also make a one-time approximate-location check when you first visit, to decide whether to show the cookie banner.
Cookies & your choices
- Essential: we store your cookie choice in your browser so we don't have to ask again. There are no other essential cookies.
- Analytics: the Google and PostHog cookies above load only after you accept them.
If you're in the EU, EEA, or UK, you'll see a cookie banner and analytics load only after you choose "Accept all". Elsewhere, analytics load by default and you can opt out at any time. You can change your choice whenever you like using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of our home page, or by clearing this site's cookies and using your browser's privacy settings.

Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run the service, each acting under its own privacy policy:
- Google - booking (Appointment Scheduling) and analytics (Tag Manager, Analytics)
- Stripe - deposit payments
- PostHog - product analytics (EU-hosted)
- Vercel - website hosting
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and booking records for as long as needed to provide the service and to keep reasonable business records, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to each provider's settings. You can ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing hello@weekendweddings.nyc.
Your rights
EEA / UK visitors (GDPR & UK GDPR): you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what we collect, to delete or correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information - we do not sell or share your data. To exercise any right, email hello@weekendweddings.nyc.
International visitors
We operate in the United States, and our providers may process data in the US and other countries. By using the site you understand your information may be processed there.
Children
Our services are for adults (18+) and this site is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the latest version.
